Why we are the light of the world(1)
Prophesying, Speaking in tongues and interpreting
- A REASON
One of the reasons why majority of people in a CELESTIAL CHURCH prophesy is
because the CELESTIAL doctrine encourages the full manifestation of the Holy
Spirit and that the Holy Spirit is a promise for the believers. Joel 2 v 28
confirms this,
" And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon
all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall
dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:"
The Holy Spirit with us is not one that manifests itself in a sole being but
in an observable number of a congregation; Exactly as God has promised. This
shows the genuineness of this spirit. Whatever is of God is meant for the
exaltation of his glory but not of a man or a selected few. We believe that for
the sustenance of communication between Man and the Almighty God, the Holy
Spirit must be acknowledge since it is only he that serves as the link between
Man and God. It is through the Holy Spirit that God heals, bless, conquer, does
signs and wonders, reveals mysteries etc. Jesus said in John 14 v 16:
" And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, that
he may abide with you for ever;"
Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is our comforter and for him to be our
comforter, he has to be able to make us feel comfortable in whatever way it can.
Either he is to heal us or to bless us or even to teach us, you know, to perform
all those things that brings joy for us. Brethren, tell me, can you be a
comforter for someone and not be his everything - that is solve his problems for
him. Our believe in the powers, and the usefulness of the Holy Spirit makes us
believers, we believe in the full manifestation of the holy spirit, thus Paul
said in I Corinthian 14 v 22:
" therefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe but to them
that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for
them which believe."
The statement that Paul made testifies to our peculiarity, to our being the
first and not the last. Speaking in tongues as he said is a sign to them that
believe not. That is for them to believe that God is a spirit that is capable of
manifesting his spirituality in people, to reveal secrets. I Corinthians 2 v
10:
" But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit
searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."
And for God to manifest himself in this lower level of manifestation shows
that this people (that do not believe) are still lower to people that believe
thereby making him to manifest himself to the people that believe in a higher
manifestation which is in the form of prophesying. This statement testifies to
it:
" But prophesying serveth for them that believe not, but for them which
believe."
Paul even went further to give the reason why it is of utmost importance to
prophesy and not speak in tongues always. He said in verse 23;
"if therefore the whole church be come together into one place and all
speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers,
will they not say ye are mad?"
Look at that, if we are jealous of the fact that these people speak in
tongues, you know, making it known, and we want to be going after their style,
don't you think we will be settling for less. As for me, God forbid! Moreover we
do speak in tongues also, sometimes when our prophets are about to prophesy,
they speak languages we don't understand and why ours is different is because
there is always somebody there to interpret. I Corinthians 14 v 5:
"I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied:
for greater is he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the
church may recieve edifying."
Edification of the church by prophesying is witnessed today with the respect
giving to the church as a result of prophecies being delivered to people. This
shall be discussed later in this article. Assuming you walk into a place and
majority of the people there are speaking in tongues, they speak in a language
you don't understand, what would your first impression be? Mad people aren't it?
But this impression cannot be had when you enter another place where they speak
in tongues, interpret and prophesy. Read verse 24,
"but if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one
that is unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all."
He is convinced of all in that statement implies that when he sees that no
fetish or unholy thing is done before one speak in tongues or prophesy, he is
convinced that God is in your mist and that is after he has judged which means
he had previewed everything that happened before his eyes (seeing is believing).
He would be hundred percent (100%) convinced that you are of the Lord God of
Jehovah and not of the Prince of Persia.
Let us note that the unlearned in Paul's statement refers to people of not
like minds, people that are not orientated in your ways and orientation is like
learning. They are unlearned. So also unbelievers means that they don't believe
in your doctrines, in your ways etc. I hope you agree. Look at this; this is
where I am going. Verse 25, it read thus
"and thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down
on his face he will worship God, and report God is in you of a truth."
Isn't God wonderful?
Hymn 526 -
The ways of God are mysterious to accomplish
his works His ways no man can determine Unsearchable they
are Unbelievers will go stray rejecting works of God but for us
who believe the Lord We will not loose on earth. Amen. |

The hymn says," but for us who believe the Lord," you and me can
testify today that there are many people in this fold that came in through this
way. This could happen because Paul said,
"and thus are the secrets of his heart are made manifest;"
This fact alone brought him to salvation by worshipping God. You should note
that why is it that the unbeliever had to fall down on his face to worship God
the way we do. This is another reason we are peculiar, we are complete in
worshipping God if the rules are followed. A topic for another day I would say.
The writing of this article is not to derogate any fold but to make us aware of
whom we are as CELESTIANS and why we are not demonic but of the Lord God of
Israel - JEHOVAH.
May the Lord God Jehovah bless us. Amen!
