I remember when I first met peter he was the kindness person you
could ever meet. I coached peter in a youth basketball league at bell
shoals Baptist church one summer .he always made it a point to say hi
to you even if he didn't know you and if you were having a bad day and
he would find a way to make laugh or something. Not only did I coach
him that summer with his younger brother but not only did he play that
summer he also played in the youth vs. Staff game that year the staff
had played against someone like peter not because of his playing
ability but of the fact that he wasn't selfish person. I my personal
opinion peter was the type of person that would put his needs aside
just to help someone else. That was just the way peter was always
cheerful no matter where he was he was always smiling. Peter will be
missed very deeply but one thing is he is in a much better place right
now and one day we will see him again. So i say this, peter has
touched many lives on and off the court. We
love you peter and you will be missed.

Peter was one of a kind. Anyone that knew him, witnessed him, knew that he
did everything with his heart. I don't think I have ever met someone that was
more honest and loving. I learned so much from Peter in his short time here on
earth, more than people that had many years of experience on him. He has set an
example of the kind of person that I would want to be, so I will take all that I
have learned from him and hope to be half as good as he was and hope he'll be
proud of me when we meet again.

was stunned to hear about the news of Peter's passing. I attended High School
with Peter at Armwood High and graduated with him in 2001. I remember the first
time that I really met Peter, I noticed that he was a very approachable young
man and even though he was a popular athlete in our school he didn't have that
cocky attitude that most of the athletes had. He was humble as well as
outspoken. I remember that me and my best friend (Aaron J. Bolton) used to come
up to him every time that we'd see him and we, being average height, would come
up to him and grab him by the leg and tell him that we were his biggest fans!
Just being goofy I guess but Peter being the person that he was just laughed it
up and knew that we were just being typical class clowns. He will be very missed
and our 10 year reunion will definitely not be the same without him there. God
Bless the Akintola family.
