THE
Federal Government
has been advised to
use monies recovered
from Abacha family
and corrupt
politicians to buy
rice and drugs for
the benefit of
Nigerians.
Giving the advice in Lagos at the weekend, a top cleric, brother Samuel
Ogungbade, Shepherd
in-charge, Celestial
Church of Christ,
Bethlehem Parish,
Ajamgbadi, said this
is spiritual
directive from God.
Brother Ogungbade,
who claimed it is
God’s message to
Nigerians, said God
also frowns at the
current random
probes by the
National Assembly,
because nothing good
would come out of
them.
“What God said is
that the National
Assembly probes
should be suspended
or stopped forthwith
because it will
cause disunity in
the country and
further polarize the
people,” he warned.
Besides, he
explained many of
the national
legislators were
elected last April
through fraudulent
election results and
had no moral right
to seat over other
people’s judgement
and probe them of
corruption.
The Celestial
Church leader
recalled that the
issue of probe by
the National
Assembly could be
likened to that of
the late Generals
Bisalla and Dimka.
Ogungbade said the
spiritual revelation
given to him by God
was that President
Umar Musa Yar’Adua
and the National
Assembly should
forget all the
atrocities committed
by the past leaders,
and join hands to
move the nation
forward.
He said the
promise of God is
that He Himself,
would deal
decisively with all
those leaders who
impoverished the
poor Nigerians
through corruption.
Brother Ogungbade
emphasised that all
monies collected
from Abacha family
and others from
politicians by the
EFCC and ICPC from
1999 to date, should
be used to buy rice
and drugs to save
people. |
