I, however, want to bring a serious omission to the attention of the honorable minister. In my candid opinion, the late Rev. S.B.J. Oschoffa, the founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, also deserves to be honored. He was a highly respected and distinguished Nigerian whose impact and influence on the religious terrain remain glaring many years after his death.
The church he founded 60 years ago is without any iota of doubt one of the three biggest denominations in the world today. In North America, Europe and Africa, the church has visible presence.
The late Oschoffa commanded respect and his spiritual influence provided succor for many people. In a nutshell, the late Oschoffa was a good ambassador of Nigeria. Consequently, I implore the FCT Minister to include Oschoffa’s name on the list.
